One generation wins the peace: the next squanders it. Left holding the bag, the following generation has to journey anew to save all mankind from economic slavery and the war that always comes with it. Redeem The Dream is the real life version of Lord Of The Rings we are all living.The fictionalized version of this epic story of civilization’s decline and renewal is masterfully told in JRR Tolkien’s book, and later the movies we all loved, called: The Lord Of The Rings. Tolkien’s heroes are a tough four-feet-short people that represent the average ordinary citizen. As things sloooowwwly keep getting worse a few start to leave their fantasy world and come to realize their esteemed leaders have all sold them out. The little guy is always left holding the bag throughout history and has to save the world: nothing-new there. Tolkien wrote this after the human carnage of the First World War. But Tolkien goes so far as to name his hero’s clan, the Baggins (Bag-gins) to scream the point. So maybe, just maybe, we would all figure it out and end the gory ungodly cycle of peace-tyranny-war-peace every 150 years. I wrote my songs and these RTD Radio pieces in as a direct voice as I could because all that fictional allegory is way too esoteric: nobody really gets it for a long time, if at all, because their story is so good. And we all need to 'GET RTDNOW RIGHT NOW’ and add our names at RTDNOW.COM, and yes, save the world, a-gain. So many song or movie writers are too scared to tell the real story enough so you can get it. Instead they mask it heavily in fiction hoping someone like me would get finally get it. The Matrix anyone? Well I got Tolkien’s BIG message (42 years after I first read it) and I’m bringing it into modern day for all of us. That’s why I named this opera Redeem The Dream, and our Movement, Redeem The Dream Now, and not, ‘The Hobbit: Or There And Back Again’. The title of his precursor book, which softens the whole secret message of history: its cyclical.
Today, 300 million American citizens are Tolkien’s’ two generations of fictional Hobbits. Bilbo (My Baby Boomer generation) and Frodo Baggins (My kids Gen X and Millennials), who must form a rag-tag fellowship (or more exciting, a Ninja-SWAT-Team) to journey to the evil seat of power, Mordor, at the foot of Mt. Doom (much more interesting than calling it just Washington DC and Congress) to end our modern day tyranny of economic slavery that is the build up to world war (Orc’s mine below ground: Half our Defense budget is Dark).

VOYAGE TO INNER-SPACE
Star Trek, the TV show and movie series, wasn't an adventure program. It was a weekly depiction and examination of the human spirit and into the soul. A voyage to 'inner-space'. Into the mind of human desires, set in the facade of 'outer-space' exploration. And it really did accomplished it's true five-year mission.
For 50 years it's captured the world's imagination to make us aware, that all of us have the same dreams of life, liberty and happiness. It showed us in countless different situations, that as we cast aside irrational emotions and characters, 90% of us work very well together. And that each time we do, we see there are no real limits to what we can dream and accomplish. Only the limits we adopt and 'let' others place on us.
The biggest star of the show? Always there, everywhere, hard to miss: the sky, space. It was a giant metaphor for the space we all travel through daily in our own starship. Our vessel called the human body. The sky always was, and is, just a reflection of us. And its always just the staring point. That's why we are all on the same journey everyday with unlimited potential. And right here, right now, our American journey, 300 million as 1, begins anew.
Redeem The Dream is the real life version of Lord Of The Rings we are all living. I don’t look or feel like Gandalf: I’m only 5’7” on a good day. But I do own a Wizard cape I had made to do a magic show for my kids when they were 5 and 7. The fictional show is over, and the real show has just started in every home in America and around the world.
It’s being told in 100 daily song installments I hope you all tune in for 300 million as 1 so you can find out the thrilling cliffhanger ending. At Comicon Convention Portland 2016, I met Pavel Chekov the helmsman in the Star Trek series phenomenon. Walter Koenig is as charming in person as on screen. Like me, he wasn't acting. I was asking him to say one word on tape, Fire!, to go in this song as my 'Starship' fires 9 Billion daily communication blasts to everyone on the planet at once. Such a wise gentlemen. As I told him I was making an opera to restore the American Dream he questioned like I was on the bridge of the Enterprise, his ship, "Who's American Dream?" Thank you Mr. Chekov! Set course for EVERYBODY on Earth! I'd been thinking everyone's, but such 'product testing' like I'd read Pink Floyd did 35 years ago with 3X5 cards with 1 word song themes written in them to get people's reaction, works!

Like the old spellbinding Orson Wells radiobroadcast, WAR OF THE WORLDS, but on steroids with a purpose. TWO HOURS
Sitting down with my sound engineer Dean Baskerville for two hours I rattled off what I wanted and he put it together. Amazingly there were no “Oh, that doesn’t work”. But this is what I’d done with Tim Ellis in studio also, I had a knack for editing even if I didn’t know how to work ProTools, the software that enabled you to record and manipulate 100 tracks of sounds.
OUTERSPACE
I pulled sounds from my music library of 3,000 tracks. Organ, from my song, Seize the Moment. Ethereal guitar sound from the song Redeem the Dream Now. I had it forward, then reversed it, glued it together, and looped it, then slowed it down. Voila, you’re in outer space. I wanted emphasize the main theme and foreshadow songs coming later so I also grabbed the choir from the same song and sloooowed it way down and gradually increased the speed to real time to signify traveling through the time travel wormhole. This gave me an interesting sound palate for my USS Redemption Starship speech as a real Captain Kirk, Star Trek character, Adrian, who also doesn’t believe in NO-WIN situation, and his crew. I’d been doing such improv since I was 7.
AMERICAN SPIRIT
The Cecil B. De Mille ‘God-like’ 10 Commandments voice you hear throughout the opera is the American spirit speaking to us. What comes into all Americans at birth and never leaves. Imagine; I have something in common with Thomas Jefferson? We both wrote a declaration of independence 250 years apart. He had the hard job; I’m just updating it. But still, that’s revolutionary too. Our Government’s been broken for 50 years, and nobody though to fix it? Or if they thought about it didn’t really try? Nobody’s gonna fix it? I have to do it? Really. Really? I guess so. It’s my American spirit connecting with Thomas’s over time and pushing me forward over the biggest mountains, the biggest project I could ever imagine. Making all the songs, writing the website, making RTD Radio come alive, the logo, the art, all this bonus material, and hopefully the Music and Town Hall tour. All this to show 300 million people at once, we can renew America overnight if you just awaken and use your American spirit with me. Our founders had this NO-QUIT mentality; I’ve connected to it. And I want you to through me. So you see the American spirit really never dies, we pass it on, and it’s in our blood. I’m just bringing it out of our American psyche, into our headphones, and into action so we can all restore everyone’s American dream OVER-NIGHT. Just like our founders did.
RADIO THEATRE
A 57-year-young kid in a candy store. This song was oodles of fun to make using impromptu audio clips off the street I’d made, just like I’d read after the fact: Pete Townshend did the same in his rock opera’s. Then adding the dialogue. The laser firing sound of 9 billion communications blasts I did verbally, (Like Orson Wells doing many parts in the WAR OF THE WORLDS radiobroadcast) making the sounds, and then Dean affected them. The song shifts from radio theatre to its climax by grabbing the last 3:30 of my song Seize the Moment, to foreshadow Album 5 Declare. Together it makes an interesting other worldly journey from the year 2073 hurtling me back through a wormhole to 2017 to call EVERY-SINGLE-AMERICAN-SPIRIT to action to save America’s future by actually signing the second declaration of independence I wrote for us at RTDNOW.COM: Redeem The Dream Now.

I'm wearing a T-shirt bought there 100 feet from where Lincoln was shot and our history changed. His overcoat is displayed in the lobby! I took my family there to see a fantastic musical comedy called Liberty Smith. The storyline is an ordinary citizen 'Liberty' was present at every key moment prompting a founder (Franklin or Jefferson) to take an action, that combined, made America happen. The shirt image is a reimagining of the famous Beatles picture of the band leaving Abbey Road studios for the last time.
Our founders were the rock stars of their day marching to freedom is the implication. Here, Rock Opera intersects with reality at Kung Fu studios, Portland, Oregon. I'm in the recording booth imagining 300 million citizens hearing my Opera and taking the little step of adding their name at RTDNOW.COM, like liberty smith, to remake America happen again with me. THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE WAS WRITTEN TO BE PERFORMED!
May 2018, about three years after recording the Declaration of Independence to music in my songs Our Journey Begins Anew partially and completely ‘performing’ it in three songs fully, Seize the Moment, In Perfect Communion, and Add Your Name, I read this passage attached below from a book American Sphinx, on Thomas Jefferson, going into high detail on how he drafted the phrases in the declaration, the world’s most famous words.
Based upon how he put quotation marks to guide the reader in his final draft (that were taken out) some infer he intended it to be performed. Glad I figured that out on my own, because that’s how I felt as I read our Declaration of Independence as an adult. It’s a very passionate statement, argument, and vision, written in three parts like a play: preamble set up, grievances of what’s wrong, roll call of adding signers names to stand for liberty and right the wrongs. That jumped out at me. You could, and maybe I will someday, write a play acting out, performing, the Declaration of Independence: Move Aside Hamilton!
As a human civilization vision statement breaking bonds with an abusive past and setting course for a glorious future of equality and prosperity, it still stands alone as the seminal document for which to base the association of people seeking common good. I wish my producer was alive to show him this passage to have one of those smiling “I knew it!” moments.
For me, it was obvious it needed to be performed, and put to music, so I did it. My producer was nice enough to humor me and roll with me as I went way beyond normal ‘music’ that producers were making. As I did my most inventive songs like these Tim Ellis (my producer not to be confused with this book author Joseph Ellis) would get reflective as I instructed how to fit it all together, “Adrian, this is more like a movie sound track in many parts of the song.” And my reply was that is what I was seeing and hearing in my head, and we can shoot the video later. “Any big time movie producer want to make the movie with me?” Give me a call.

The master of this totalitarian regime is our own homespun version of Al Qaeda; it is the faceless corporate elite paying off our government to steer policy, rob the treasury and gut our American industry. This is their response to 150 years of build-up by labor unions, and over 200 years of work by honest Americans to achieve worker rights in America. Bit by bit, the Corporama moved their factories overseas. Almost all of them have participated over the past 100 years, and it appears they have won at the expense of every hard working ordinary American citizen. In the meantime, we watched, and played. We trusted. Now, there are hardly any unions because there are hardly any factories. Have you noticed the new trend? Americans are going offshore in droves to find a good job.

It doesn’t even hide behind a nice facade. Rents double. We are evicted. It's pure evil. Healthcare is financially out of reach. People die early or suffer through it. It's pure evil. Poor people’s cars are towed and they can't afford to get them back. Taking their means of survival is pure evil. Students funneled into student debt by the government without recourse is pure evil. Our whole government is overrun with money in politics, changing our laws to give corporations the rights of human beings. This is the ultimate evil. The mega corporations and their lobbyists have gang-raped our citizen rights. Out-manned, we have little way to fight back. That’s why I wrote RTDNOW.
AMERICA IS OCCUPIED BY A MONEY CLASS: AND OUR JOURNEY TO END IT BEGINS ANEW
My friends, life in America is becoming awful. Over 300-Million are at the poverty line, or just one recession away. Why? We now live in a state that is a combination of constant economic oppression, fascism, and inverted totalitarianism driven by a corporate elite in a plan put in motion in 1971. This is why we are all confused on a daily basis. This is why a very smart people, the American people, can no longer get anything done, or right as a nation anymore. This is why the most prosperous nation on earth can't feed and house its own people. This is why we arm the world and foment an endless cycle of war and killing. It is because we don’t control our own country.
We need to see that we are an occupied country. We are occupied by a money-elite which has existed in the shadows who has controlled the Federal Reserve from its inception, and which is the engine of economic apartheid in America and abroad. This engine is not owned or controlled by the American people. And, as a result, our biggest problems in America are never addressed or solved, because that was never part of their plan: we the people are the problem, not the focus.
I'm sorry I have to be the one to expose our social programming so dramatically. It causes a bit of mental whiplash. But, very soon there will be a daily reality of 100-Million hungry Americans, and we don’t want to wait for that to happen. Soon we will not be able to evade reality by any means possible even with 1,000 stations and endless social media. Soon we will all have to recognize we all have the same needs as humans. Soon we will start to greet our countrymen and women of all races and colors with respect and warmth, because soon we will realize we are all in this struggle for our future together. Soon there will be no dogma of Republicans or Democrats to hide behind. Soon we will begin to heal ourselves, all 300-Million-As-1. Because soon we will all add our names to the 2nd Declaration of Independence at RTDNOW.COM. And after we all do that, we can restore everyone's American dream overnight in a simple 3-step plan called RTDNOW.

All these eyes, funny how it's hard to see, but that's why I'm writing to you today.
We need to understand the timeless elements of how America fitted and fits into a 'functional' world. Endless wars like the last 65 years is a DYSFUNCTIONAL world: unless you're a defense contractor or politician. When we are at war all politicians need to do is react to it. Versus actively bukidinf the country of our dreams. Which by the way needs to be rebuilt every generation. That's why we are all in agony of being left behind. Instead of spending $15 Trillion to rebuild the American dream we are all living in the lost American dream built from 1900-1960. Since then all our money to rebuild the American dream for the current generation was siphoned out for war, defense industry, Bailing out Wall Street, and feeding and enriching Corporate Kings. So we the real people are all living in Ghost towns. The American dream focus left our leadership decades ago. We all pay the cost daily as costs tripled over 30 years, jobs left. And we the real people are left with the bill: $25 Trillion. I think we all know it's time for some new thinking here. So I'm supplying the vision for renewal of 300 million American dream OVERNIGHT in this rock opera, bonus materials and podcasts. The REDEEM THE DREAM NOW Plan.
So let's start to find our way forward as a nation as our Journey Begins Anew to resort the American dream. We as a whole people, need to remember what worked for all Americans and why, where it was taken off track, and how we can now course correct, to have an immediate and sustained renewal of 300 million American dreams. The two page passage attached from the Oxford History of The United States, I reference here, has a few interesting points on American history, and foreign policy. And then I conclude by tying that into how it relates to restoring 300 million (and a new world of) American dreams.
1. WHERE WE BEGAN: Americans first dreamed of isolationism, freed by mighty oceans, to conduct their affairs in peace and freedom without outside influence.
2. TO BE OR NOT YO BE. THE CHOICE: Separating from the world (wars) meant separation from world economically, restricting our global commerce. See Nixon's opening trade with China in the 1970's: the total OPPOSITE. And we all know where that 'total' opening, versus a managed, paced, partial opening got us. China overran us economically and took ALL of our Manufacturing base and good jobs, and the American dreams connected to them to make thousands of new Chinese global Millionaires! You should feel sick about now and groaning. It was preventable, the decimation of the American dream and our WHOLE economy, and now we all know It. Nixon and his billionaire cronies were shortsighted grifters taking without giving, without the insight and foresight of a John Adams or Lord Shelbourne. Now our American dream engine of the last generation, our manufacturing base, our well paying career jobs are all gone.

3. UNDERSTANDING THE HISTORY OF FOREIGN ENTANGLEMENTS: John Adams correctly predicts any alliances with Europe will entangle America in all future European wars...which had gone on for centuries. Not difficult to predict, but spot on! This mis-step, by not managing well-driving a solid position forward over decades, versus taking an all one way (pacifist) or the other (militarist) approach, ended up transforming America from pacifist for its first half of its 125 year existence, to militaristic for the last 125 years. It seems once we had the might, we kept using it. We seem to be unable to steer a middle course, which is what we need. We need to return to Teddy Roosevelts "Speak softly and carry a Big stick" foreign policy. As President, I'd manage a middle course of common goals foreign policy. Opposing goals is what causes conflicts. It's simpler than they make it. We all want to thrive. Endless Corporate greed screws that all up. 4. ACHIEVING A REAL BALANCE: Like the modern board game of RISK (I won every game I ever played) American Diplomats John Jay and John Adams balanced England against France. Instead of putting countries against each other, how about we balance those relationships by rebalancing every America dream on the planet with RTDNOW Principles and Policies. When every person on the planet has the same ground rules to thrive: they will. We all will. That's what the first America Declaration of Independence did. We are all just doing it again and updating it into today five generations later. Extending the Internet and computing power worldwide was like in 1900 giving everybody riding a horse a car. That's the second reason all the jobs and good wages are sucked out of America at Internet speed and it's accelerating. It was like giving everyone in the planet a good one that lasts forever and goes anywhere like my Toyota Tundra. My new Ford had its engine blow up at 29,500 miles just under warranty. A FEW CONCLUSIONS ABOUT THE PLACE OF AMERICA IN THE WORLD 2018-FORWARD: WHO WE CAN, AND SHOULD BECOME
1. LET'S END THE ENDLESS CYCLE OF WAR BY CHANGING THE EQUATION OF WAR
Old Lord Shelbourne saw this endless cycle of war on earth (hard to miss if you're awake and read) and smartly sucked America into eternal friendship by using, what? Economic policy revision. Since world copies and follows 'smart' American principles and policy, how about we all change the equation of war on the whole planet?
How about we keep the promise of the American Revolution to free the human spirit on the whole planet. How about we extend Redeem The Dream concepts and policies around the world? Well, don't worry, we already are because it's all on the internet like what you're reading now. When a world is freed from want, when every American dream in the planet is restored by governments adopting RTDNOW principles and policies to take care of the needs of their people (not corporations or global elite wealth class paying them off one way or another) the world will become a global exchange of goods and services freed from war between global citizens across national boundaries. This is my world vision.
Yes of course I want a strong military. But 38,000 nukes is about 37,000 times what was needed to make the point: don't "F" with us! That's about $37,000 Billion dollars that went NOWHERE. It went into the pockets of the defense industry contractors. Like with Russia, it's time to accept a nuclear detente world. War should and will be over. Not because there will be an end of bad actors appearing on the global stage, but a world renewed with the rebirth of the American dream everywhere will make bad actors go away quickly. 1 Billion Chinese wanted the American dream. They asked nicely, and like fools, we (billionaire money in politics seeking to avoid taxes and labor unions and environmental regulations) gave it all away because we had no plan, no leadership, and no massive citizen participation. No nukes or threats needed. There was NO foreign policy in America, no foreign trade plan that had at its core 300 million AMERICAN dream being put and satisfied FIRST. Our stupid government officials freely (well corporate America and the global wealth class made Billions) GAVE it all away, the American Dream the generation from 1900-1960 built. The more I read, I like thinkers like Lord Shelbourne. You should too: it ensures your bright future.
2. MAKING AN ABUNDANT WORLD, STARTING IN AMERICA FIRST, FOR ALL, IS ACHIEVABLE RIGHT NOW
We are capable of overproducing to feed and meet the needs of all our people and promote that around the world right now. But greed and tyranny at the top and theory government channels it into an economic 'few-masters and many-slaves' system we are oppressed under like before 1776, the same economic system foisted on us all once more as the American generation of the last 35 years slept. Well now I'm fully awake and I'm waking up 300 million Americans to go get their American dreams right now.
3. A BIG FANTASY BY ADRIAN? HARDLY.
Over producing is easy when it's done for a good purpose because EVERYONE joins in. That's why I'm starting our new era of 100% activism at RTDNOW.COM just by adding your name. 4. REFORMING THE WORLD EFFORTLESSLY AS WE GO
Many World governments need reform OVERNIGHT to take care of their own people, that's how we end illegal immigration on the spot. It's an idiotic short term Nixon like deranged thinking: avoiding and postponing solving the real problem. That's nitwit thinking. When we dropped them ALL (and we did, more than all of World War 2) we ended up losing. Endless bombing kills us, our economy, not them. We need to stop endless growth and militarization of our police forces and jails. All that does kill everyone's American spirit and dream dream: which is why Corporations keep funding it! You stop illegal immigration by making it attractive for foreigners to stay home. With the internet this is already happening. You no longer have to come to America to have everything good that's here. World governments have done some reforming, institute RTDNOW policies and reforms and make their people happy at home by enabling them to easily pursue their American dreams without leaving. A buddy in college once said "if all diplomats were forced to eat ice cream together they'd be able to work out good agreements and all be happy." What he was trying to say is "of everybody has reasonable access to actively pursue their American dream, we'd all be happy. Across the whole planet. Because the American dream enables you to fulfill your human aspirations while respecting the social and economic rights of others and other nations. When administered properly. Which is what I'd do if I were your President.
5. ENDING MAJOR WAR ON EARTH RIGHT NOW
Wars are Economic and resource driven: oil, lumber, strategic locations to control world trade. If we change that equation, we change the equation of war. If Obama (who I voted for as the better of two limited choices we are perpetually given: that's oppression) got a Nobel prize for just good speeches and getting elected, I should get 100 for bringing for the concept in the last sentence, bringing war to an end. The idea that today with the Internet, we all the real people, by banding together 300 million as 1 now have the potential to remake the equation that causes wars. While ending war on earth is not a fantasy, getting the Nobel Prize is because Nobel invented dynamite and that is the armaments industry which only grows when wars deplete war machinery and nations have to "re-stock".
